The Creative Labs
educate, inspire, empower...
There is indisputable truth in the idea that success in today's music industry is a grueling and daunting task. Many young artists and musicians hope to turn their talent and hard work into viable career options, or hope to develop inter-personal skills through the expression of their music. However, when the cost of breaking into the music industry is paired with a lack of music education, many youth become discouraged and disheartened about the possibility of a musical future.
The Collective Sound aims to provide youth, ages 12 to 18, with the tools and guidance needed to articulate and express themselves amidst today's turbulent music industry, while concurrently nurturing them to become leaders and innovators for a sustainable future. Designed to supplement traditional music programs and private instruction, TCS Creative Labs give youth a guided opportunity for creativity in today’s music industry. Through the utilization of guitar, bass, drums, vocals, keyboard, and electronic music, students will work to write songs, record them, and perform live for their local community. Students will also use today's technology to create electronic press kits and to film music videos for publication online.

Creative Lab after-school programs have operated through the Boys and Girls Clubs of Venice, and Laguna Beach.
